Little Roadrunners Academy ("Little Roadrunners Academy," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of the families, prospective families, and website visitors we serve. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at www.littleroadrunners.com (the "Site") and through our enrollment and program operations, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our Site or submitting information to us, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you contact us, request a tour, submit an inquiry, complete an enrollment packet, or download our handbooks, we may collect your name, your child's name and date of birth, email address, phone number, mailing address, program interest, preferred start date, and any other information you choose to share in message fields.

Enrollment and program records. Enrolled families provide additional information required by New Mexico childcare licensing and program operations, including emergency contacts, authorized pickup persons, immunization and health records, allergies and dietary needs, physician information, and payment details.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries, schedule tours, and communicate about enrollment;
  • Process enrollment applications and manage tuition and program participation;
  • Provide daily care, education, health, and safety services for enrolled children;
  • Contact parents and authorized guardians about their child, schedules, closures, and emergencies;
  • Comply with New Mexico childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements, including the NM Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD);
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site; and
  • Meet our legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.

3. Children's Privacy

Our Site is directed to parents and guardians, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. Information about children is provided by their parent or legal guardian in connection with enrollment and care. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the school and as described below:

  • Service providers. Vendors that help us operate the Site, process forms (for example, our contact/enrollment form provider), send email, host files, and process payments, under contractual confidentiality obligations.
  • Licensing, health, and safety authorities. When required by law or licensing regulations, or to protect the health and safety of a child.
  • Emergency responders and medical professionals. In the event of a medical emergency involving an enrolled child.
  • Legal process. To comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other legal obligations, or to establish or defend legal claims.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Cookies and Analytics

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand how visitors use the Site, and improve performance. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain inquiry and enrollment information for as long as needed to respond to you, provide services, and satisfy applicable legal, licensing, tax, insurance, and record-retention requirements. Records for enrolled children are kept for the periods required by New Mexico childcare regulations.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Choices and Rights

You may request to review, update, or correct information you have provided by contacting us. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or by contacting us directly. Certain records we are required to keep for licensing or legal reasons cannot be deleted on request.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites (for example, the NM ECECD or downloadable handbook hosts). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies before providing information.

10. Photos and Media

From time to time, with written parental consent, we may photograph classroom activities for internal communications, family updates, or school marketing. Parents may withhold or revoke consent at any time by notifying the Center Director in writing.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
